See photos. In Asia and Europe the 6man Mirages are made in three pieces for easy transport. You can take the canoe apart and load front and back manu's on racks, middle of canoe in bed of truck.
Last year we had Karel make us one here in Hawaii (Blue canoe in photo).
We ended up not needing to take the canoe apart to transport as we though we would so we don't need a 3 piece canoe. The canoe cost us 15K and we've paddled it about 20 times. The iakoo's are brand new and haven't even been unwrapped.

The canoe is ready to be shipped or sold on Maui for $13,000.

Aukahi Rudderless (V1). Ultralight version. Made by Kamanu Composites (maker of the Pueo). Absolutely amazing V1. 3 plus month waiting list to get new (plus shipping time). About a year old. To purchase new from Hawaii it is $4500 plus $500 to ship. Pretty sure this is the first one in Northern California (not sure if there are any others). Hull is in Perfect shape. Ama is a first Generation Pueo ama. Full disclosure...there are two pressure dings on the top of the ama that should be addressed. Absolutely water tight. Repair could be as easy as using Puka Patch, or a gel coat repair could probably be done for $60 to $100 bucks tops.
